On December 16, 2023, at the conclusion of a Hawaiian interisland cruise, 8 members of Toronto Lem Si Ho Tong, stopped by LSHT for a brief visit. The group headed by Toronto LSHT VP, Ken Lam, were greeted by LSHT Hawaii members and given a tour of Tin Hau Temple and our clubhouse. Unlike other LSHT organizations throughout the world, Hawaii may be the only one to house a Taoist temple open to the public and featuring the Great Grand Auntie to the Lum Family, our Gupo, Tin Hau. Tin Hau translates to Queen of Heaven and is an official Imperial title given to the Lum maiden, Lin Moniang. After a quick tour, we all had a dim sum lunch and shared stories with our Canadian friends. Two countries, one family.
